The body of 22-year-old Rohit Prasad of Labasa was also found early Sunday where it had been swept into a cane field near Vunivatu. When the flood hit, thirteen other people in the immediate area saved their own lives by climbing trees. Prasad, and his father, Gyan, were unable to reach the trees in time. Gyan Prasad is still missing. Also missing is a young girl from Batinikama. On Viti Levu, the body of a man who drowned when a flash flood hit Nadi on Friday night has been recovered. Top of Page |
