Qarase has offered the posts of Minister for Agriculture, Minister for Health, Minister for Commerce, Minister for Labour, Minister for Local Government, Minister for Energy and Works and Minister for Environment.
Qarase also said that he will include the two independents, George Konrote and Robin Irwin to be cabinet ministers. They will not be counted as part of the 17 member cabinet. He said that they will eventually end up with a 21 member cabinet as he also intends to appoint a few ministers through the senate which will include the Minister for Justice.
Meanwhile, Chaudhry in a press conference has confirmed that he has received the information from the Prime Minister's office that the Labour Party has been offered significant portfolios.
He said that these are ministries that are in a mess and the prime minister wants the Fiji Labour Party to clean these ministries up.
Chaudhry is still in a caucus meeting and has not confirmed whether he will take up the offer by the Prime Minister which by the way expires on Monday morning.
