The production of the renowned 'Survivor' television series in Nadogo, Vanua Levu is back on track.
This after Suva lawyer Tevita Fa refused to represent the landowners who are unhappy with the way the Native Land Trust Board handled the matter saying they were not consulted for the use of their land.
The claim was that the land located at Nadogo, which is 250 kilometres from Labasa was classed as "native reserve" and could not be exploited for commercial purposes before being "de-reserved".
Fa had earlier threatened to take the matter to court and because of the dispute; the production had to be rescheduled.
"I checked with the Native Lands Commission but I found that they were not the genuine owners of the land in question," he said.
"And because they do not really own the land, which they have been claiming, I cannot do much".
Survivor producers are reported to have invested $6million worth of infrastructure at the Nadogo site.
